POOR STORYTELLING KILLS CONNECTION

Last week I saw the movie, “Civil War,” with some friends. To say the movie was disturbing would be a huge understatement. This dystopic movie showed us what a second Civil War would look like in a third term under a fascist dictator.

But the problem for me with the movie was not the violence, or how one could see that this movie could become a reality, but rather the flaws in the storytelling. There were huge gaps. I don’t think it was intentional, and it left me and my friends, having to attempt to tie the threads together, and it made the overall experience extremely difficult.

Poor storytelling and ineffective structure kills connection. It minimizes the impact of your message.

That is why I am committed to helping speakers become more powerful storytellers!

In these extraordinary times where great storytelling has never been more important,  I wanted to share with you my passion.
