Sharing Family Stories With Loved Ones Reveals Clues To Who We Are

Over the past few days, it has been so great to spend time with family, friends and my siblings, in particular, sharing memories of my father. I am learning so many new things about him, too, because everyone I speak with has some new and fresh insights into who my Dad was.

What is really fun is sharing with my siblings particular memories, as we all add our own details or, in some instances, even recall the events very differently. This all makes sense, as we see things through a different lens, and since we each care about different things, different details might have captured our attention - and are more etched into our recollection.

And also, some of us are older, so maybe our memories aren't as good as those younger:)

Sharing stories with those near and dear to use helps fill in some blanks. Sharing stories can give us a wonderful view into who we were, who we are, and who we are becoming!

How does your recollection of the events of your lifetime differ from some of your own family members, or others close to you?

I'd love to know!
